201 sauna accessories from 7 UK retailers: doors, benches, stones, lights, buckets and ladles, thermometers and sand timers, with the price and size each retailer states.
A sauna is a room, a heater and a handful of parts that make it usable: stones on the heater, a bucket and ladle for the water, a light, a door, benches to sit on and a thermometer on the wall. Some come with the sauna and some don’t. We recorded 201 sauna accessories and parts at seven UK retailers, from £9.99 for a ladle or a thermometer to more than £2,000 for a glass door or a starry-sky light kit, and compare them here by category, with the price, size and material each retailer states. Every price was checked on 3 October 2026.

What comes with a sauna, and what you add
Check the listing before you buy accessories, because some saunas include them. Of the 489 outdoor saunas in our dataset, our notes on each listing mention a bucket or ladle on 43 and a thermometer or hygrometer on 44. Those count what the retailer’s page mentioned and we noted, so a listing that says nothing may still include them. Stones vary more: some listings include them with the heater, and others say stones are not included or sell them as an add-on.
What a sauna with a stone heater uses:
- Stones, in the type and size the heater’s manual names. Heaters are sold with or without them: see sauna stones and sauna heaters.
- A bucket and ladle, for water on the stones. Harvia’s manual for its Cilindro Pro heater says the sauna air becomes dry as it warms, and water is thrown on the heated stones to bring the humidity to a suitable level.
- A light. See sauna lights for what the makers and the wiring rules say about fitting one.
- A thermometer, if you want to see the temperature where you sit.
A door and benches are part of the sauna itself. You buy those separately if you’re building a sauna or replacing them. If you’re buying a sauna kit, check what the listing includes.

The listings for 5 of these items didn't show whether they were in stock.

Headrests start at £35.99. Two listings are sold boxed as gifts: a HaLu red cedar headrest at £49 that Finnmark says arrives in a gift box, and a Helo gift box set of bucket, ladle, thermometer and hygrometer at £138.99, which was out of stock when we checked.
Accessories for an infrared sauna
Stones, buckets and ladles go with a stone heater, so they don’t apply to a cabin heated by infrared panels alone. Three of the infrared listings on outdoor infrared saunas are hybrids with a stone stove as well, and those are listed with stones, a bucket and a ladle. We recorded one accessory made for infrared heaters, a wooden backrest listed as fitting over Harvia’s ECO, WIR and DIR infrared radiators:

Aqualine Saunas does not say whether its prices include VAT. This listing didn't show whether the item was in stock.

Counted from each retailer's own website on 3 October 2026. We recorded up to about 25 distinct products per category at each retailer and skipped colour and finish duplicates, so larger ranges are not listed in full.
Steam & Oak, Vidalux, Tuin, Finnmark Sauna and Gardj also sell saunas, so their terms are on UK sauna retailers compared. Aqualine Saunas and Leisurequip are specialists we also list on sauna heaters.
What these lists leave out
- Not every product. We read each retailer’s accessory categories and recorded a sample, skipping colour and finish duplicates. Finnmark’s ranges are the largest: its bench wood collection listed 164 products and its door collection 76, and we recorded far fewer of each.
- Starting prices. 41 prices are marked “From” because the retailer sells several sizes or options and we recorded the cheapest we saw.
- Stock. 9 items were out of stock when we checked and are marked. For 47 more, mostly at Aqualine Saunas, the listing didn’t show whether the item was in stock.
- VAT. Aqualine Saunas and Leisurequip don’t say on the pages we read whether their prices include VAT. For the other five we recorded the price the shop displays and didn’t check for a VAT statement.
What we don’t list
We leave out hats, towels, robes and whisks, and anything sold only on a wellbeing claim: this site compares what can be measured and priced, and makes no health claims. Sauna scents and essential oils are compared separately on sauna scents, where we quote how sellers describe a scent but not what they say about health. We also leave out heaters and controllers, which have their own comparison, and accessories for hot tubs and ice baths.
Sauna accessory questions
What accessories do you need for a sauna?
For a sauna with a stone heater: stones of the type its manual names, a bucket and ladle for water on the stones, and a light. A thermometer and a sand timer are optional. A cabin heated by infrared panels alone has no stone heater, so stones, a bucket and a ladle don't apply to it.
Do saunas come with accessories?
Some do. Of the 489 outdoor saunas we track, our notes mention a bucket or ladle on 43 listings and a thermometer or hygrometer on 44. Check the listing before you buy them separately.
How much do sauna accessories cost?
The 201 accessories and parts we recorded start at £9.99 and run to more than £2,000 on 3 October 2026. A bucket starts at £25.99, sauna stones at £24.99 and a glass door at £278.99.
What is a good sauna gift?
Small accessories are the simplest: we list 19 buckets, ladles, thermometers and sand timers under £30 that were in stock when we checked, and two listings are sold boxed as gifts, one of which was out of stock.
Where can I buy sauna accessories in the UK?
We recorded sauna accessories at 7 UK retailers. Finnmark Sauna has the largest range in our data, with 113 listings recorded.
