Vidalux is a UK brand selling traditional barrel saunas and a hybrid infrared mini-cube, direct from its own website and, for the barrels, through Costco. Every Vidalux sauna in our data comes with a heater, which makes them some of the cheapest complete saunas you can buy: the best value barrel in our rule-based picks is a Vidalux. The range is small and simple:
- Traditional barrels in three lengths, sold as 2-person, 2–4 person and 4–6 person, each with an electric heater (4.5 kW or 6 kW, as listed).

Vidalux direct or at Costco?
The same three barrels are sold by Vidalux and by Costco. Matched on seats and size:

Costco is cheaper for all three, but it sells to members only, so add the membership fee if you don’t have one. The terms differ too: Vidalux states a 2-year warranty on electricals and 12 months on the wood (on registration), offers finance, and has units on show at two showrooms; Costco’s sauna listings describe kerbside or boundary crate delivery. Check each listing for exactly what’s included before you choose.

Vidalux’s saunas are sold as DIY kits: installation isn’t included, and Vidalux says you’ll need separate quotes from an electrician and a groundworker. Our guide to installing a garden sauna covers both, and the cost guide shows what else to budget for.
Note the returns terms: saunas can’t be returned once used except for a fault, and a change-of-mind return carries a collection and restocking charge of £160 or 10% of the price, whichever is greater.
How Vidalux compares
The Vidalux barrels are compact: the 4–6 person model is 1.80 m long, where the median six-seat barrel in our data is 2.45 m. That’s why the price per seat is so low; six people will be close together. The heater maker isn’t named in the listings.
