Summerhouse24 saunas: range, prices and heater options

Summerhouse24 sells timber garden buildings, and its sauna range is one of the largest in our data: 51 listings, from small barrels to log cabins with a sauna room, a shower room and a veranda. The thing to know first is that every one is priced without a heater. Its outdoor sauna page says saunas are supplied without a heater as standard, with electric or wood-fired options sold separately. Everything below was checked on Summerhouse24’s own pages on 30 September 2026.

Summerhouse24 saunas: full range and prices

Prices include VAT. Each row shows the date we checked it against the retailer's own page; the latest check was 30 September 2026. Prices change: the retailer's checkout price is what counts. Height chips show the retailer's stated height: green 2.5 m or lower, amber taller. That's before your base, and it isn't a planning check (see why 2.5 m matters). “Not recorded” means we could not confirm the figure on the retailer's page.

What a heater adds

Because the heater is extra, the ticket price isn’t the price of a working sauna. On the two product pages where we read the options in full, Summerhouse24 listed:

Options and prices vary by model, so check the page for the sauna you want. You can also buy the heater elsewhere: compare prices on sauna heaters, size it with the heater size calculator, and add it all up with the garden sauna cost calculator. A wood-burning stove brings the smoke rules into play: check your address with the smoke control area checker.

Summerhouse24 barrel saunas

12 of the listings are barrels, from £4,700, with 40 mm walls on the ones that state a thickness. Several are the same barrel with a terrace or a canopy added.

Compare them with every other barrel on barrel saunas.

Sauna cabins and log cabins with a sauna room

33 listings are cabins, from £4,300 to £18,125. The larger ones are garden buildings with a sauna inside: 15 of the cabins have a separate changing or relaxation room and 14 have a veranda or terrace. Wall thickness is stated as 40 mm on 9 cabins and 70 mm on 19.

Two rules matter for the bigger cabins:

• Height. 23 of the 49 listings with a height we recorded are taller than 2.5 m. In England and Wales, a building within 2 m of a boundary must be no more than 2.5 m high to be permitted development, so a taller cabin needs to stand at least 2 m from every boundary, where higher limits apply, or have planning permission. Test your plot with the planning permission checker.
• Floor area. 16 listings have an overall outline of more than 15 m², terraces included. In England, building regulations don’t normally apply to a detached garden building of up to 15 m² of floor area with no sleeping accommodation; from 15 m² to 30 m² it depends on the distance to the boundary and the materials, and above 30 m² that exemption doesn’t apply. Check the internal floor area on the listing, and ask your council’s building control team if you’re near the limits.

Delivery, assembly and warranty

Quoted or closely summarised from Summerhouse24's own pages on 30 September 2026: summerhouse24.co.uk; summerhouse24.co.uk/outdoor-sauna; summerhouse24.co.uk/outdoor-sauna/page/2; summerhouse24.co.uk/outdoor-sauna/page/3.

In short:

• Delivery is charged by postcode area: free in Summerhouse24’s Zone One, £150 in Zone Two, £450 in Zone Three and by quotation in Zone Four, with no delivery to Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland. The zones are lists of postcodes, not regions, so check yours on its delivery page. It’s a kerbside delivery by crane lorry or forklift, and it needs hard-standing access.
• Assembly is by you or by Summerhouse24’s team at extra cost. It says DIY assembly typically takes one to two days, and the two prices we read for its own team were £1,820 and £2,100. See sauna kits for what self-assembly involves.
• Warranty is stated as five years on the pages we read.
• Showrooms. It lists display sites in Newton Abbot, Devon, and at Garforth Garden Centre, Leeds.
• Payment is by card or bank transfer, with a 50% deposit for bank transfers; it doesn’t state a finance option.

How Summerhouse24’s prices compare

All of these are prices without a heater, so they’re compared with other saunas listed without one.

Summerhouse24 reviews and discount codes: what we don’t publish

We don’t publish review scores or collect discount codes, and we haven’t tested Summerhouse24’s buildings. What we show is what its own pages state on 30 September 2026. We didn’t read its returns policy page, so read that yourself before ordering, particularly for a made-to-order building.
